It was a nice little room for the night at a nice price, which is what we were basically looking for. Things seemed nice and clean, if not pristine and new. At this price point we were surprised and happy to have wifi, frig and microwave, good heat with digital temperature selection, and tons of cable channels, plus a basic (cereal, toast, English muffins, juice, coffee) continental breakfast. Though some doors, fixtures, walls, etc. were older or a little worn or patched, for the budget hunter, it was just fine and a great price.

I checked once for wifi signal from the room, which was fairly distant from the office, before I knew they had it, and I didn't pick any up. When having breakfast before checkout, I saw a sign in the office that they did have wifi. I tried again before we left, from the car when we were parked nearer the office, and did get it fine. So I'm not sure if the problem was our room's distance to the office, or if I just needed to referesh my wifi network search and maybe it would have worked. But if you need wifi, you might want to ask if a room closer to the office might work better.

Point Motel is the best budget motel I've stayed at in a long time. The carpet was new in our room and the room and motel were clean and comfortable, not shabby as most budget motels are. The staff was friendly and available.

The continental breakfast had only cold cereal and English muffins. They ran out of coffee but were quick to make more when I knocked on the office door.

It was very clean, the manager was very nice, the other facilities were equally nice

There was alot of noise at night. It was hard to sleep so we ended up leaving around 2 am. It sounded like someone was in our bathroom pouring water in the sink and toilet. It might have been the people in the room next to us, but we weren't sure.

Room temp was nice and warm, although it didn't seem possible to change. Location was close to U of Stevens Point. Room was clean, but very, very dingy. Have stayed in cheap motels before, but none this sad.

This place was sooo dreary. Two very skimpy pillows. Walls were super thin; couple next door having sex sounded like they were in the same room with me. Seemed like only 2 or 3 rooms were occupied, so that was freaky. Why they have to put two people next door to each other when there is all those empty rooms, is beyond me. When I went to the office at 7 am. for continental breakfast, door was locked, and still was at 7:30.

Easy to find. Walking to restaurants and bars.

Whining dog in room few doors down.

As other reviewers have said, it's good value for the cost; coffee pot, fridge, microwave all nice conveniences. Also, it's just a minute's walk from Starbucks & Noodles n' Company, a big plus.

And... as others have said, the wifi absolutely does not work, not even in the office area, and my sister and I have pretty good laptops. This was a deciding factor in my decision to book the motel, so it was an inconvenience and a disappointment when I wasn't able to get online. Also, 'continental breakfast' usually connotes at least something warm, but this really consisted of cold cereal.

Friendly manager, convenient location, inexpensive, good beds

Not the cleanest, breakfast not ready on time, loud outside at night and in the morning, drapes wouldn't close all the way

We spent 2 nights there and were not in the room except in the evening. The bed was firm but comfortable. Room was clean with towels and linens changed after the first day. Air conditioner was quiet and worked well. The place is old but the essentials are kept up, so it suited our needs.

Refrigerator didn't work (plug ground broken off and loose in socket). Side chair worn out and sank deeply when sat in, but we didn't use it anyway. Not a lot of hooks to hang wet towels, etc. Continental breakfast is basically just cold cereal, coffee, and juice. We didn't eat it.

    1) They did not have my booking on file from Booked.net, so I had to pay an extra $66 to stay there. 2) The room looked like it had blood stains on the lamp, the bathroom door looked like it had been tried to be kicked in and it was generally not clean. 3) When I asked the receptionist to go online to see if she could find my booking from Booked.net, she did not and opened a book of printed out sheets to provide proof that I had not had a room reserved 4) I will be contacting Booked.net and the Point Motel to get the money I paid for the double booking back.

The shower and toilet had major issues. The shower was either super hot or cold and changed on it's own. The toilet just did not function as a toilet should. The TV was from the 80's with no remote. And the "continental breakfast" was a bag of tiny doughnuts.

Our room was big, the linens were clean.

The repairs to the room were poorly done. When we checked in , there was no greeting by the lady at the desk, nor any communication whatsoever, verbally. She handed me the paperwork to sign, took my charge card, gave me a reciept and that was it! Up until 11:00 P.M. it was very noisey, then quiet for the night and noisey again starting at 6:30am,
